Police have been quizzing commuters in St Andrews and Glasgow three weeks to the day after the disappearance of student, Manvir Singh.
Despite efforts to find him, including an emotional appeal from his parents, there has been no trace of Mr Singh, 21, since he got off a bus in the Fife town at around 8pm on Wednesday March 19.
Mr Singh, who is from Bishopbriggs, got on the XX24 Stagecoach service at Glasgow’s Buchanan Street bus station at 5.15pm on the day he went missing and CCTV footage shows him alighting at St Andrews.
Chief Inspector Rob Hay said: “We are hoping that by speaking to people who were in the bus stations in Glasgow and St Andrews three weeks ago, or who may routinely be in the bus stations around this time every Wednesday, we can help jog their memories.
“We’d reiterate our appeal for any information and ask people to get in touch with police on 101, through our Facebook or Twitter accounts, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
“Manvir’s family are clearly distraught and just want to know that he’s safe and well.”
When he was last seen, Mr Singh, who is in third year of a medical degree at Glasgow University, was wearing a navy blue hooded top with yellow markings, dark jeans and dark boots. He was also carrying a black bag.
