Police officers in North East Fife are appealing for information following recent thefts in the Newport and Tayport areas.
Between March 28 and April 10, several outbuildings and cars were broken into and on several occasions items were stolen.
PC Derek Scrivener-Anderson, who is leading the investigation, said: “My colleagues and I are carrying out enquiries and extra patrols in the area and I would ask that anyone with any information contact us on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who has information regarding a white van which was seen in the area on several occasions.
“I would like to reassure local residents that we are making all efforts to apprehend those responsible for these crimes, and in the meantime ask that they follow basic crime prevention advice regarding locking outbuildings and cars.”
