Excitement in the tangerine half of Dundee has reached fever pitch as United prepare to face Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
At least 11,000 fans are making their way to Glasgow this morning from Tayside and even further afield.
And Arabs have been given permission to put on a black and orange card display in the Broomloan Road Stand at the Rangers stadium when the players are coming out of the tunnel.
The electric atmosphere will further be heightened by hundreds of inflatable tangerine thundersticks that fans can bash together to celebrate United’s successes.
One man has put £1,000 on United to win by two goals or more, and bookies say that the money is certainly flowing in the Tangerines’ direction.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The money we’ve seen so far suggests punters are confident the Tangerines will make the cup final.”
At home on the Tay, the party is also expected to last long into the night, with thousands expected to hit the city centre in the event of a United victory.
Arabs across the world are also preparing to watch the game.
The Perth Arabs Western Australia Branch has more than 120 members and is preparing to bring a taste of Dundee to the Aussies today, while the London Arabs, previously known as the South London Tangerines, are sending supporters up from the capital.
