Several locations belonging to Angus Council are being sought by the Commonwealth Games for this summer’s shooting events at Barry Buddon.
The council’s communities committee has been asked to approve the lease of six areas. They include land at Links Parade, including Black Slab car park, and adjacent grass areas.
It is proposed Golfers Car Park at Carnoustie Hotel and Spa will be used by officials and competitors staying at the hotel.
Parking for golfers will be relocated nearby. The car park at Carlogie Park is sought for buses to bring spectators to the event and the leisure arena car park would be used as a bus pick-up area for volunteers
Pitskelly Park in Carnoustie would be used for volunteers’s parking. The games also wants to lease Burnside Primary for three days in July.
