Major tailbacks in Fife as roadworks cause major delays for commuters
ByJonathan Watson
Commuters from Fife faced major delays on Tuesday morning as they tried to cross the Tay Road Bridge.
Roadworks in Dundee saw tailbacks spanning the length of the crossing and back to the Forgan roundabout on the A92.
Drivers reported delays of almost half an hour as they tried to enter the city, with the work believed to be related to the waterfront redevelopment project.
One of the commuters caught in the chaos was Susan Anderson, who contacted The Courier to say: “My journey to work usually takes about 50 minutes but today it took an hour and a quarter.
“There didn’t event appear to be much work going on when I got across the bridge, certainly not enough to merit the delays.”
