Four illegal immigrants are awaiting deportation following raids on two Kirkcaldy restaurants.
Home Office officials detained the men after storming the premises of the Namaste Gurkha and Amritsar restaurants on Saturday.
After quizzing staff at the High Street venues, two Indian men, aged 23 and 31 and a 28-year-old Pakistani man were found to be working illegally at the Amritsar restaurant.
A 25-year-old Indian man was found to be working illegally at the Namaste restaurant. All are in Home Office detention while steps are taken to remove them from the country.
An eyewitness told The Courier three Home Office vans pulled up outside the Namaste restaurant on Saturday afternoon, with diners asked to leave as officials quizzed staff.
The manager of Amritsar was unavailable for comment but the manager of Namaste Gurkha, Jason Singh, denied any raid had taken place at his establishment.
The Home Office has confirmed the owner of each business will be issued with a notice of potential liability of up to £10,000 per illegal worker employed.
