Today’s opponents Aberdeen have been linked with a move for St Johnstone star Lee Croft, but the winger says he wants to stay in Perth.
The Dons and Hibs are reported to be interested in taking the former Manchester City man away from McDiarmid Park in the summer.
However, talks are progressing well with Saints and Croft is optimistic that a new contract will be agreed soon.
“The contract talks are going well. We are still speaking and hopefully we can come to an agreement as soon as possible,” he said.
“I’m definitely keen to be here next season. Everyone knows how much I enjoy it here.
“There’s a good bunch of lads here and I enjoy working with the staff so there’s no reason why I wouldn’t want to extend my stay.”
Croft was heartbroken to miss out on Saints’ Scottish Cup semi-final win over Aberdeen earlier this month, after pulling up injured in training a couple of days before the game.
However, Croft should be back in the squad today and his cup final dream is still very much alive.
He said: “I’ve done some running this week and now I want some games before the final. It would be great to get back against Aberdeen.
“I definitely want to get back quickly. I was gutted to miss out on the semi-final and then I had to sit out the win over Dundee United.
“I want to get back out on the field and stake a claim for the final.
“Missing the semi-final is right up there with the biggest disappointments of my career. It was a huge game. But the lads came through and now we have the final to look forward to. The timing was terrible.”
Chris Millar is back in the squad this afternoon.
