Here come the brides over £2,000 raised for Blake McMillan Trust

More than 100 “brides” descended on Camperdown Park to raise funds for the Blake McMillan Trust.
The Bridal March, organised by the Tayside Wedding Collective and Along Came Kirsty charity consultants, aims to raise funding for research into the condition suffered by Longforgan tot Blake.
He was born with the rare genetic disorder Mecp2 Duplication Syndrome and is one of only 150 cases in the world. Blake was able to take part in the march alongside mum Jenny and his sister.
The Bridal March gave those and other families and runners a chance to take part in a family mile, a 5k or a 10k with a wedding theme.
Kirsty Thomson from Along Came Kirsty said: “It was a great day and we have raised at least over £2,000.
“We don’t have the final totals in yet but a lot of people have been telling me they were sponsored.
“We’ve had a lot of good feedback and hopefully we can make it an annual event which will grow each year.”
The event was supported by local businesses and Tesco provided bananas for each competitor.
