A major investment has been announced in a popular Angus hotel, bringing with it a mini jobs boost.
A new management team and a number of additional staff members have been recruited at the Glen Clova Hotel, north of Kirriemuir, following a £75,000 revamp from the Niven family who own the property.
The money has been used to refurbish the kitchen and take on a new head chef as well as create a fresh menu that will seek to further promote the hotel’s use of local products.
Additional bar and restaurant staff have also been recruited, along with a number of cleaning workers, creating a welcome bump in the jobs market for Angus.
Hotel manager Lesley McArthur said: “It’s an exciting new era for the hotel and we are hoping that the recent good weather continues on to the summer and that the new menu and kitchen will bring new experiences for us all.”
