The Co-operative on St Boswells Terrace, St Mary’s, was targeted about 7.30am as staff were arriving to open up for the day. Staff raised the alarm and neighbours were roused by the blaring of sirens as police vehicles sped to the scene. Police Scotland later confirmed two men had been charged. A spokesman said: “Two men aged 19 and 20 years old have been charged in connection with the robbery at St Boswells Terrace, Dundee, on Sunday May 11. “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and they are expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court.” The Co-op remained cordoned off for hours after the incident. Forensic officers were seen examining the doorway of the store for evidence. The shop reopened about lunchtime, but staff declined to comment.
