A diver had to be rescued after getting into difficulties off the Fife coast on Sunday.
The 23-year-old got into trouble near the wreck of the tug HMS Saucy in the Forth.
Kinghorn lifeboat was diverted from exercises nearby and a Royal Navy helicopter was also scrambled to the scene.
The diver had experienced what were described as “minor” difficulties under the water before returning to the surface.
The crew of the dive vessel called for assistance as a precautionary measure, with the diver flown to Aberdeen by the Navy helicopter for further treatment.
Lifeboat helm Leanne Fisher said: “The male diver had suffered minor difficulties following descent to approximately 20 metres.
“The diver had then quickly returned to the surface, and was recovered on to the dive boat.
“The crew of the dive vessel had made a precautionary call for assistance, and when we arrived on the scene the diver was in good spirits. At the request of the helicopter, we took the casualty onboard the lifeboat and undertook a moving transfer to the rescue helicopter.”
