There was a heavy police presence between Cleghorn Street and Black Street following the incident. The circumstances remain unclear and Police Scotland, Tayside Division, are refusing to comment at this time. However, it is understood that a woman fell from the third-floor window at around 7.40pm. An ambulance and trauma team attended the scene and took the woman to Ninewells hospital, where she remains. Her injuries are unknown but her condition is thought to be serious. One local man said: “I heard the sirens and looked out of my window and saw all the blue flashing lights. “It was pretty shocking. I’ve only just moved to the area and nothing like this has happened before.”
