It was disappointment for Glasgow in the RaboDirect Pro 12 final after they went down 34-12 against Leinster in Dublin.
Finn Russell opened the scoring after three minutes for the Warriors after converting a penalty from 41 metres after Mike Ross was caught offside.
The curtain came down on Brian O’Driscoll’s career prematurely when he limped off with a hamstring injury minutes later.
Russell doubled his side’s lead with another penalty after Tommy Seymour was hit with a high tackle by Mike McCarthy.
But the Irish went ahead when South African wing Zane Kirchner scored the game’s first try and Jimmy Gopperth was successful with the conversion.
Russell put Glasgow ahead once more with another penalty when he fired through the posts but Leinster hit back with their second try three minutes later.
Kirchner breached the Warriors’ defence to allow Shane Jennings to touch down under the posts and Gopperth’s second successful conversion meant the Irish went into half-time with a two-point advantage.
Glasgow conceded a penalty six minutes into the second half but Gopperth’s effort from the halfway line rebounded off the post.
However, the Kiwi was successful with Leinster’s second penalty of the match.
The Warriors were penalised after their scrum collapsed in front of the posts and Gopperth was on hand to slot the ball home to strengthen the Irish side’s lead.
Gopperth put his side eight points ahead with another penalty after Leone Nakarawa’s infringement.
Leinster then killed off the Scottish side’s hopes with two quickfire tries.
Kirchner scored his second try of the match after nicking the ball and breaking to the line as the Warriors were putting some pressure on the Irish side.
Gordon D’Arcy then crossed the line for Leinster to round off the scoring and seal the title for his team.
