A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the neck in a horrific lunchtime attack in Dundee.
Police swooped on the city’s Butterburn Square in Hilltown after the alarm was raised shortly after noon on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said around a dozen cars and vans, including a dog team, arrived to close off Hill Street at the junction with Strathmartine Road.
Police called an ambulance and the crew treated the injured man at the scene before taking him to Ninewells Hospital, a spokesman said.
The 27-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital and has since been released following treatment.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident or anyone who may have any information relating to the incident.
