Coastguard training group come to rescue of casualty at Montrose park

Angus and Mearns Coastguard personnel on a coastal exercise helped a young man in a medical emergency on Tuesday night.
A group of trainees were undertaking night-time rope rescue drills at Montrose Links but were alerted to an incident nearby in Traill Drive at around 7.20pm.
A spokesman said: “The team were alerted to a male that had fallen, had head injuries and was seizing uncontrollable at the beach skate park.
“Assistance was requested from the Scottish Ambulance Service via Aberdeen MRCC whilst responding to scene.
“Immediate first aid was given to the male as well as support given to the friends that raised the alarm.
“The team assisted the ambulance service before he was transported to Ninewells, Dundee, for further treatment.”
Training was terminated for the night.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed its attendance to a medical case at 7.40pm. The status of the casualty is not known.
