A family is appealing for help after thieves stole a quad bike worth more than £1,000 from their home.
Sonja Shepherd’s red Honda Foreman 4×4 was stolen from her livery yard just outside her home on Rosemill Road, Bridgefoot.
Although there are cameras installed around the house, they were not working at the time of the theft, between midnight and 6am on Monday.
The 36-year-old said the theft could have caused her horses to go missing, or suffer serious injuries from the fence that was broken to get the bike out.
She said: “We worked hard to get the money to buy the quad bike and these people have just come in and taken it away for absolutely nothing, it’s so frustrating.
“A section of the fence also had to be repaired because we have horses in the field and they could have escaped.”
The bike is not used for fun and is only to help Sonja to get around the 15 acres of land to clear up after her horses. There has been one sighting of the quad bike since the theft.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said Tayside Division is making inquiries into the theft.
