The work of two dedicated Perth volunteers has been recognised at a national level.
Arlene Goulding and Pam Lauter were part of the Tayside Hear to Help group named volunteering team of the year at the Action on Hearing Loss Scotland awards.
They run monthly drop-in sessions across the area, including at Perth and Kinross Society for the Blind, Blairgowrie Cottage Hospital, Crieff Community Hospital and St Margaret’s Hospital in Auchterarder.
In the last 12 months the team has maintained 3,000 hearing aids for people across Tayside.
Tayside Hear to Help project coordinator Michelle Donoghue said: “Our volunteers are very hardworking and dedicated, so it is wonderful to have their contributions recognised with this team award.
“We couldn’t deliver our Hear to Help project in Perthshire without the support of our inspirational volunteers like Arlene and Pam.
“I am delighted for them as they make a huge difference to the lives of people with hearing loss.”
