Fire crews battled huge flames during a shed blaze in St Mary’s on Thursday.
A crew was called to the rear of a property in St Ninian Terrace at 7.41pm and spent over an hour tackling the blaze.
Eyewitnesses said at one point the flames were as high as 15 feet and the street was filled with smoke.
A section of Dalmahoy Drive was closed off as the incident unfolded.
One local resident said: “I was just coming back from taking my wife to work when I got close and saw an awful lot of smoke.
“I think a lot of people had called the fire brigade. The flames must have been about 15 feet high,” he said.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire Service said: “Two pumps were in attendance from McAlpine Road. Crew used three jets and one set of breathing apparatus.”
A police spokesman confirmed they had been contacted about the road closure on Dalmahoy Drive between St Kilda Road towards Ardler.
