A man has suffered serious upper body and head injuries after being attacked by a group of youths in Dundee.
The 45-year-old was walking from Lothian Crescent to Ormiston Crescent in the Whitfield area when he was assaulted by a group of youths at around 11.30pm on Tuesday evening.
He was rushed byambulance to Ninewells Hospital where he was treated for a serious head injury, a fractured collar bone and fractured ribs.
His attackers are described as wearing hooded tops, and being aged 15-17.
Councillor WillieSawers, who represents the area in which the attack took place, said: “I heartilycondemn this kind ofactivity, and urge anyone with knowledge of the attack to come forward.
“I hope the police will act swiftly and bring the attackers to justice.”
The man was still in hospital on Thursdayafternoon following the attack and was unable to speak to The Courier.
