Pedestrian killed after collision with car on A9 near Gleneagles

A pedestrian died following a collision with a car on a day of roads chaos in Perthshire.
The accident occurred at 3.20pm on the A9Perth to Stirling road near Gleneagles.
The road was closed between the A824 and the B8081 junction at Blackford and trafficwas diverted to allow a police investigation to take place.
The road reopened around 7.35pm.
In an unrelatedincident, the A9 dualcarriageway was also blocked southbound between the Broxden roundabout and the B934 junction at Forteviotfollowing a one-vehicle accident that happened at Tibbermore around 3.49pm.
No one was reported to be injured.
One lane of the M90 motorway near junction nine at Glenfarg was also closed for a period around 4.45pm yesterday after a diesel spill from a lorry.
A gritter attended to mop up the spillage.
Anyone who may have witnessed the fatal accident on the A9 is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
