Around 2,000 people enjoyed a day of sunshine at Perth Racecourse’s Sports Race Day.
The summer meeting opened its gates at noon to a waiting crowd who then watched seven jump races over the course of the day.
Owner Patricia Carnaby had three horses running on the day.
Her horses are stabled at Glenfarg and trained by Perthshire horsewoman Lucy Normile.
She said: “We love coming to Perth. We’ve three horses running today Strobe, Mr Masson and Badged and with the fast ground conditions we’re hopeful for some good results.”
Perth Racecourse manager Sam Morshead said: “We’ve had two fantastic meetings to open our July High Five with some exciting racing and good crowds.
“The usual fun, party atmosphere has surrounded the racecourse and we’re now getting geared up for our family day on July 13.”
Those who attended yesterday had the opportunity to rub shoulders with sportsmen and women involved in horse racing, and could also take part in a ‘top jockey’ question-and-answer session.
In addition, jockeys were on hand to sign autographs for race fans.
