The auction was also a chance for people to bid on caricatures of regulars drawn by former DC Thomson artist Brian Petrie.
The event raised £1,450 and proceeds will go to the Maggie’s Centre and Brae Riding for the Disabled.
The final weekend of the 2014 gala also saw residents and visitors enjoy an open day at Queen Street library, a car boot sale and an antiques roadshow.
Another highlight was the secret garden trail, which saw people visit public open spaces such as Castle Green and the Barnhill Rock Garden as well as being allowed to enjoy private gardens that are normally off limits.
Children’s competitions have also been an important feature of the week, with the winners of the teddy bear contest named as: 0-3 years Alex Laing, 3-6 years Isabella Laing, 6-9 years Poppy Milne and 9-12 years Emily Thomson.
