Coming up in Friday’s Courier Haggard, skint and weather-worn

It’s time for T.

For the very last time, crowds have descended on Balado from every corner of the country looking to slake their insatiable thirst for the finest beat combos and chart-topping skiffle bands.

It has been a pleasure to watch pictures of the fresh-faced hordes eagerly making their way on site in their festival finest, happy, smiling and full of enthusiasm for the weekend ahead.

We caught up with them before the weather takes a turn for the worse, their cash runs out and they sink into sleep-deprived, monosyllabic wretches.

We’re also sending our own T in the Park first-timer who will keep us, and you, updated with all the festival fun.

You can follow her exploits here and at @C_JThomson. She may or may not be wearing a polar bear suit, apparently.

She’ll introduce herself in Friday’s Courier.

You’ll also meet the gent who introduced tea production to Ceylon, the little-known Mearns man James Taylor, who is getting his won celebratory festival.

We were on hand for the Abertay graduations, inclduing to see Deacon Blue frontman Ricky Ross being honoured.

And we tracked down football’s finest as Manchester City rolled into St Andrews ahead of their friendly with Dundee on Sunday.

They were without Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta though. Wonder what pressing engagement they’ve got on instead.

For all this and so much more see Friday’s Courier or try our digital edition.
