Council offering fun way to get into the Ryder Cup spirit
ByThe Courier Reporter
In the run-up to the Ryder Cup, Perth and Kinross Council is offering venues the chance to host golf-themed fun days.
Communities can hire two inflatable putting greens and three-hole mini golf courses free of charge.
These will be delivered and collected by the local authority but venues must be able to provide a large, flat space and a power supply for the inflatables.
Putters and golf balls will only be supplied as part of the mini golf.
Leader of Perth and Kinross Council Ian Miller said: “As Perth and Kinross gears up to host the most prestigious golfing event in the sporting calendar, we have the opportunity to celebrate our area’s magnificent golfing heritage and support the community groups which provide so much benefit to our local area.
“I’m delighted that we’re able to offer these fun golf attractions for free and hope they will bring our communities much enjoyment this summer as we look forward to the 2014 Ryder Cup.”
For further details on hiring the fun, golf-themed equipment, go to www.pkc.gov.uk/minigolfhire or call 01738 475000.
