Harry’s hopes to succeed where City and Sportsters failed

One of Perth’s biggest bars and nightspots is to reopen to the public as a family-friendly eatery and public house.
Owned by the G1 Group, the former City/Sportsters club has been closed since November but will reopen next week following a major makeover.
St Johnstone fans will be among the first to experience the new Harry’s as it stages a pre-opening event today.
Operators will open the doors between 5.30pm and 6.30pm to enable supporters to try a free slice of pizza before heading to McDiarmid Park for Saints’ Europa League clash with FC Luzern.
Thereafter, the venue will officially open to the public on July 30.
Operators promise they will offer something for all the family, with a soft play area and specialist children’s coordinators, and a combination of hand-stretched pizzas, gourmet burgers, craft beers and ales and cocktails for adults.
They also hope to bring a new concept to Perth, with Saturday nights being run as ceilidh nights.
