After attending a party in Kinross on March 15, 15-year-old Ross Graham called a taxi to take him home to Keltyhill Avenue in Kelty. Unfortunately, none were available and he was offered a bed for the night. That didn’t suit Graham, however, and, despite his age, he decided to make off with a car sitting in the drive of the Montgomery Street property. Perth Sheriff Court heard the party host contacted the police after noticing the vehicle had disappeared. The young joyrider was spotted by officers on patrol and he was pulled over a short time later. Graham, who is now 16, admitted taking the car without consent and then driving without a licence. He also admitted driving with excess alcohol (69 mics). The legal limit is 35 mics in 100ml of breath. Sentence was deferred on the youth until August 20 for reports and he has been banned from holding or obtaining a licence in the interim.
