The attack occurred at 7.40pm on Wednesday on Sheildaig Drive, near the junction with Barrisdale Way, in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. A man ran towards the group of three men and stabbed one of them. The other two managed to run away and were unhurt. An ambulance took the injured 24-year-old to the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow, where he is in a critical but stable condition. The suspect is aged 20 to 30, 6ft and slim. At the time of the attack he was wearing a grey hooded top.
