A dedicated lollipop man is finally getting the chance to put his feet up, after more than a decade of unbroken service.
Andy Stewart has not been missing from his post near Bowerswell Road, Perth, in 13 years of shifts.
With Kinnoull Primary School now closed for a year as a major refurbishment gets under way, however, local youngsters will be missing their popular pal in the interim.
A parent told The Courier: “The kids just love Andy and they will always give him a high five as he helps them across the road.
“He always has a smile and joke for them and even gives them a pound when it’s their birthday.”
