Almost 140 people have been caught driving under the influence of drink or drugs in the first week of a police crackdown.
In one incident in Elgin, Moray, a 55-year-old male driver who was involved in a hit and run crash was found to be three times over the drink-drive limit.
A 22-year-old woman in Inverness was also found to be over three times the legal limit when her car hit trees and ended up on its roof.
Elsewhere, a 45-year-old man was stopped in Arbroath while driving two children to school, and was found to be over the limit from drinking the night before.
The four-week campaign started last weekend with officers doing extra road patrols to look out for dangerous driving.
