Blackburn boss in no rush to sell David Goodwillie

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has revealed that he might hold on to Scotland striker David Goodwillie, even though his only starts for the Championship strugglers came in the final two games of last season.
The 24-year-old has scored just five goals in 34 games for Rovers since a £2 million move from Dundee United in 2011 but Bowyer has already rejected a bid from Jackie McNamara to take him back to Tannadice on a season-long loan.
“I’m in no hurry to get rid of David Goodwillie,” said Bowyer. “I’m in no hurry to push him out of the door but if the right deal comes for him then we would have to sit down and talk about it.
“Goody had a good run towards the end of the season. He’s not someone we are looking to push out but we understand the need for his career.”
