Man suffers serious injuries in A90 accident near Laurencekirk

A man sustained serious injuries today after a car he was travelling in crashed on the A90 in the Mearns.
The Volkswagen Passat left the northbound dual carriageway half a mile north of Laurencekirk junction, and two others are understood to have sustained lesser injuries.
The accident happened around 5.45am and the man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance. Another man and a woman were also hurt.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Three people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance. One male was believed to have serious injuries.”
