Police are hunting the men who assaulted and robbed a man in Dunfermline early on Saturday.
The victim was set upon in Priory Lane, near to the junction with Reid Street, at around 2am.
He was assaulted by four or five men who stole from his pockets before fleeing.
The 30-year-old was shaken but escaped serious injury in the attack.
Detective Sergeant Steven Stewart said: “Although the assault happened in the early hours of the morning, we believe there may have been several witnesses to the incident or people who saw a group of people in this area running away.”
