A dilapidated former church hall in Kirriemuir may be converted into flats.
Plans to redevelop Glengate Hall have now been lodged with Angus Council, with the empty building set to be turned into nine homes.
The Category C-listed hall at 19 Glengate was built in 1846 and is described as having masonry and guttering in poor condition, and severe water damage inside.
Two memorial tablets to previous ministers are still contained within.
Michael Rogers of LJR&H Architects, Dundee, lodged the application on behalf of PJ Redford Homes Ltd of Errol.
In January, Angus Council was awarded £645,000 by Historic Scotland to make essential repairs and improvements to Kirrie’s historic centre and the hall was announced as one of the beneficiaries.
