Dundee United made to wait over David Goodwillie bid
ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee United face playing a waiting game if they want to pursue their interest in former frontman David Goodwillie.
Tangerines boss Jackie McNamara has gone on record to say he is keen to bring the Scottish Cup-winning striker back to Tannadice on loan.
However, Goodwillie’s current club Blackburn Rovers, who bought him for a fee of £2.8 million two years ago, welcomed him back for pre-season training at their Brockhall centre on Thursday.
Rovers will now sit back and see if any interest is shown in the player from elsewhere before considering sending him north to United.
