A safety investigation is under way after a toddler fell off a ride in the Overgate Centre.
Emergency services rushed to the scene just before 4pm on Wednesday but the 22-month-old boy was uninjured.
A spokesman for the Overgate said: “We can confirm we are investigating the circumstances around an incident involving a 22-month-old boy.
“The safety of all our shoppers is of paramount importance.
“All our coin-operated rides are regularly assessed with a full maintenance record and are clearly labelled with instructions for usage to ensure safety guidelines are adhered to.”
Two appliances from Scottish Fire and Rescue attended at the request of ambulance crew as it was thought the boy’s head had become trapped under the machine. However, the fire crews were not required.
