Dundee councillors are continuing to show restraint with the expense claims, according to SNP administration leader Ken Guild.
He was commenting on the publication of the 29 elected members’ expenses for 2013-14.
They charged a total of £606,953.70 across all categories £448.46 less than the previous year.
Lord Provost Bob Duncan did not claim any expenses for carrying out his role as Dundee’s civic leader and Liberal Democrat member Fraser MacPherson gave £550 of his salary to the Dundee Festival Trust.
Councillors have to pay tax and national insurance on the money they receive and have to submit receipts.
Mr Guild said: “This shows councillors are taking their financial responsibilities seriously.
“We are living in a time of financial constraints and councillors are showing restraint in their expense claims.”
