A young mother was left shaken after a “suspicious” male placed his arms around her children in a busy Dundee city centre street.
The man approached the family during the teatime rush-hour period on Thursday, engaging the mum in conversation before embracing her children.
Police say the incident, at 5pm, would have been witnessed by members of the public at a bus stance in Commercial Street, outside the Early Learning Centre.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland Tayside Division said: “The male is described as white, aged approximately 55-60 years old, 5’8” in height with grey/white hair and moustache.
“He was wearing orange/brown chino type trousers and a light-coloured jacket/top.
“If you have seen this male or know his identity, please can you either contact Police Scotland on 101 or approach any police officer.”
