Coming up in Friday’s Courier – Photobombing monarchs and scottie dugs
ByAlan Richardson
To be honest, there’s not much more to say about the day’s news after you’ve seen this.
However, the Commonwealth Games has thrown up a few other gems already including these dogs from Broughty Ferry and Coming Up’s new hero, from Carnoustie.
Any cynics who sneered at the Games should be thoroughly ashamed.
Naturally it’s not all cute dogs and photobombing monarchs in Friday’s Courier.
We speak to the organiser of the controversial “panto stars scudding about on a tartan car” section of the ceremony to find out what it was all about.
And we round up all the best action on a day of fairly impressive sporting achievment.
Away from the Games, we cover a parrot found tied to a tree on Dundee’s Law, a couple of young ospreys leaving home and a woman who has, for two years, battled a cancer she never had.
We also have a heartwarming tale about a young girl turning her love of loom bands into a charity enterprise for her best friend.
For all this and so much more see Friday’s Courier or try our digital edition.
