Police wait to name woman whose body was found in River Tay at Perth

The identity of a woman whose body was recovered from the River Tay at Perth on Tuesday has not yet been released by police.
Details of the woman will not be made public until she has been formally identified, although she is understood in be in her 20s.
The search operation near Moncrieffe Island off Tay Street involved the coastguard, fire service, ambulance crews, sniffer dogs and a Police Scotland helicopter.
The RNLI lifeboat from Broughty Ferry was also involved and recovered the woman’s body from underneath Friarton Bridge downstream from Perth around 5pm.
Police Scotland say they are still piecing together the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident but say there don’t appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
