Dundee gay pub Klozet has been named the best independent bar in Scotland at this year’s Best Bar None Awards.
Judges praised the bar which says it is open to all visitors for its zero tolerance approach to vandalism, drugs and hate crime, regular staff training and its close working partnership with the NHS.
The award was made at a ceremony at the Radisson BLU Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday evening.
Sofi’s in Edinburgh won the coveted national champion title as well as picking up The Heart of the Community Award.
Mandy Haeburn-Little, director of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, said: “Each and every one of these venues deserve all the success which comes their way following what was one of the most keenly contested national award ceremonies in years.”
