Online equipment auction rubs salt in the Realtime Worlds wounds
ByNews reporter
Hundreds of thousands of pounds’ worth of top-of-the-range computer systems owned by defunct Dundee video games firm Realtime Worlds are being sold off for bargain prices at auction.
Administrators are trying to recoup some money for creditors by selling off the company’s chattel in an online auction.
It contains more than 900 lots, featuring hundreds of top-end PCs, servers, monitors and processors, and office fixtures and fittings, such as desks and chairs.
But there are also more unusual items, such as a collection of framed magazine covers, a steel hat and coat stand and even a toaster.
The online auction is being run by industrial auctioneers Sweeney Kincaid and will close at noon on Friday, November 12.
