Jim McAlister tipped to be goal machine for Dundee

Jim McAlister will be a prolific goalscorer for Dundee in the First Division according, to Dens Park manager John Brown.

The former Hamilton and Morton man signed a new two-year deal this week, and Brown believes they may have a 15-goal midfielder on their books. The Dark Blues boss expects McAlister’s goals to be a crucial part of their SPL promotion bid.

He explained: “Jim can be a key player for us.“He was a leader for us towards the end of last season and I would expect that to continue.

“Jim has many great attributes and I can see him pushing to get around 15 goals from midfield for us next season. It’s something he’s capable of so I’m sure he’ll rise to the challenge.

“He covers every blade of grass for the cause so I’m delighted he’s chosen to stay at the club.”
