Firefighters tackled a blaze in a derelict Dundee building.
Crews were called to the former Delta Capillary premises at Maxwelltown Works shortly after 5.30pm. The blaze started after dry timber caught fire in the roof space during demolition work.
Demolition contractors in the building, which was last occupied around four years ago, raised the alarm. Residents on North George Street reported plumes of white smoke coming from the building shortly before the fire crews arrived.
Blackness Road station watch manager Graeme Christie said three appliances were at the scene for around three hours.
He said: “The dry timber was burning and we managed to contain the fire in the roof space. It was a bit awkward to get to, so we had to use an aerial unit to tackle it from outside.”
