Woman found dead in Leven street

The body of a 53-year-old woman was discovered in a Fife street this morning.

Police attended at an address in the Grunnan area of Leven around 8am following a report that a woman had collapsed in the street.

Police said the death was being treated as “unexplained” but there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances.

The emergency services were alerted by a member of the public at 7.52am.

An ambulance service spokeswoman confirmed they had attended but the woman had already died.
