The threat of further industrial action at Dundee Airport has been lifted after security staff voted to accept a pay offer from bosses at Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL).
The agreement brought to an end weeks of strife between the employer and workers at its 11 regional airports.
As the disagreement escalated, strike action forced Dundee to close on April 7, disrupting flights to Stanstead.
The Prospect Union called a halt to further walk-outs to consider a new pay offer from HIAL and then balloted members, encouraging them to agree to the new terms and it was today confirmed that they had.
A HIAL spokesman said: “We are pleased that Prospect members have accepted the package of improvements proposed.
“Notwithstanding that disruption was minimal, today’s outcome is good news for staff and for passengers and means we can now focus on making this summer our busiest ever.”
HIAL is hopeful that the Stanstead route will improve passenger numbers, despite an 11% fall in customers during the first three months of 2015.
