Golf’s most famous landlady has played her final round.
Antoinette Leask called last orders for the final time at the Jigger Inn pub which overlooks the Old Course in St Andrews.
The popular bar manager served thirsty golfers and many a famous face on the iconic 19th hole owned by the Old Course Hotel, golf resort and spa for more than two decades.
Hotel owner, US billionaire Herb Kohler, flew in with wife Natalie especially for Antoinette’s big farewell.
Antoinette, who has seen four Open Championships and 13 Alfred Dunhill Championships, said: “I’ve absolutely loved working here.”
Known for her no-nonsense approach, Antoinette has even let the boss know who is in charge.
She said: “In a conversation some years ago with Mr Kohler he described the Jigger Inn as his train set. But I assured him that I was the driver!”
