An elderly pedestrian has died following an accident in Dundee on Sunday morning.
Police and other emergency services attended Blackness Road, near to Ashbank Street, at about 10.15am after the accident which involved a black VW Tiguan and the 89-year-old lady.
The driver was uninjured, however the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, where she later died.
A full inquiry is being carried out into the circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.
