Man denies showing woman sex image on mobile phone

A Perth man who denies showing a sexual image to a woman will stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court next Thursday.

Sheraz Ali, 28, of South Street, Perth, denies a charge that on April 14 at Corner Shop newsagents, Abbott Street, Perth, he asked a woman to look at a sexual image on a mobile phone without informing her what the image depicted.

The trial was adjourned on Monday to allow Ali’s legal team time to compile a defence expert report.

Time was also given for CCTV evidence to be obtained by the police.

The case was heard before Sheriff Lindsay Foulis.
