A mother who was injured after being crushed by a runaway car in Dundee has launched legal action against the vehicle’s owner.
Lynne Short, 45, was left with a broken wrist and bruising after she tried to stop the driverless Vauxhall Corsa in the city’s West End last year.
The mother-of-one jumped into action after spotting the car careering down a hill towards a school but became trapped between the vehicle and her own car.
Lynne is now suing Angela Black, the car’s owner, for a four-figure sum at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.
If the case is successful, any financial settlement will be paid by the defendant’s insurers.
