People from across Courier country turned out last night to show their thoughts are with the victims in Nepal.
A “flash crowd” gathered at Scone airport in response to an appeal by Susie Munro from near Forfar and Ronnie Murray-Poore from Crieff, who both have close links with the country.
”Many people wish they could help, but getting out there and moving bricks with bare hands is not practicable however, doing what we can do here to raise awareness is how we can help in Scotland,” said Susie.
One donation envelope was picked from the many handed in with the lucky person enjoying a birds-eye view from a helicopter of the crowd on the ground.
The use of the helicopter was donated by Kingsfield helicopters and the £1050 raised will go to The Gurkha Welfare Trust and The Bulldog Earthquake Trust Appeal.
